Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) is a public university in Indonesia led by Rector Prof. Dr. S Martono. UNNES was previously a teacher training college (IKIP) and has since been upgraded to university status. Its main campus is located in Sekaran (Gunungpati), in the southern region of Semarang city, Central Java, with other campuses located in Ngaliyan, Kelud, Bendan Ngisor, and Kemandungan, Tegal.
Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) offers the NEXTSHIP scholarship for international students pursuing Master’s and Doctoral Degrees at UNNES. This Scholarship program aims to provide financial support for students with exceptional academic records and a strong passion for their studies.

1. Maximum age: 35 years for Master’s and 40 years for Doctorate
2. Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (submit scanned diplomas and academic transcripts in English). - Note: Master’s degree holders are not eligible to apply for another Master’s Degree. 3. Provide proof of English Proficiency: - TOEFL iBT score of 90, IELTS 5.0 score, or equivalent (certificates must be issued within the last two years). - Applicants from English-speaking countries or those graduating from programs conducted in English (stated in diplomas/transcripts) may provide an official letter from their previous institution as an alternative. 4. Submit a Statement of Purpose, explaining: - Study objectives - Reasons for studying in Indonesia - Chosen research topics - Academic future plans (for Doctorate Programs) 5. Provide a recommendation letter from the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate General in the applicant’s country. 6. Submit a recommendation letter from the employer/direct supervisor (if employed; the letter must be recently issued). 7. Submit an Academic Recommendation Letter from previous institutions. 8. Provide proof of citizenship with a valid passport (valid for at least one year after July 2025). - Note: National ID Cards are not accepted. 9.
